Plastic Standard Public Consultation Open Until 26 April

Do you want to help shape the field of plastic waste recovery and recycling? Weigh in on the draft Plastic Standard!

More than 350 million tons of plastic are being used every year and just a fraction of this is being recycled. There is a clear need to scale up recovery and recycling activities and increase accountability for plastic waste reduction efforts.

The Plastic Recovery and Recycling Project Accounting Standard (Plastic Standard) will drive finance toward these efforts. It will be used to create the greatest possible value for local plastic waste recovery and recycling activities while helping corporates to meet their zero plastic waste goals.

The first draft is open for public consultation —  and you are invited to provide feedback until 26 April. The team wants to hear from you!

A webinar will provide an overview of the Plastic Standard and explain how to comment on Collaborase, the platform being used for this consultation:

  • 26 March, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm US EDT. Register here.
