New Responsible Timber Exchange platform launched this week
BVRio launched this Tuesday 14th January a new version of the RTX platform. The platform has always been the go-to place online to source legal and sustainable timber products. After three years online, we simplified the user interface of the platform, providing sellers with greater ability to demonstrate compliance with timber legality and sustainability requirements, and buyers a quicker way to carry out their own due diligence. This means all timber offers in the RTX platform will have an easily accessible verified legality or sustainability certificate number or have documents uploaded which demonstrate the origin and legality of the timber product.
Some of the new RTX features include:
1. FSC, PEFC and FLEGT labels, making certified offers easy to spot in the list of offers. Look for the green labels!
2. Due diligence document icons. Users can now upload documents which demonstrate the origin and legality of the timber product. When a document is uploaded, the related icon will change from grey to colour and a buyer can click on the icon to see a copy of the document. This helps them to carry out their own due diligence.
These new features make it even easier to sell and source legal and sustainable timber products on the Responsible Timber Exchange.

* Sellers have until the 14th of February to update their profile and upload the required documents. After that date BVRio will definitely hide all noncompliant offers.
** When accessing the RTX, if you still see the old platform, don’t worry, all you need to do is to clear your browser cache. The easy way to do it is, while on the RTX platform page, press Ctrl + Shift + R)
